Payment and Billing Information


Payment for all services is due at the time services are rendered. However, if you unable to pay your bill at that time, we will work with you to set up a payment plan. If you choose to self-pay (not use insurance), and pay for services up front, you will receive a 40% discount.


Athens Heart Center and Specialty Clinics (AHC&SPC) abides by the standards set forth in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) documentation and billing requirements, and evaluation and management services:

Our billing, insurance, and front desk departments are happy to help you, in-office or over the phone. We understand that paying for medical services, billing, and health insurance can be a pain (we are all patients, too!), and strive to make the process as easy, transparent, and fair as possible.

Low-income assistance with our PCP program


At AHC&SPC, we believe every person deserves the best health care on offer, regardless of socioeconomic status. Physician’s Circle for Patients (PCP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which has established a network of physicians who are committed to voluntarily dedicating their expertise and knowledge in the pursuit of facilitating free access to specialty care for low-income individuals.

We educate and help patients obtain medication via pharmaceutical company-specific patient assistance programs. PCP also provides educational seminars and free health screenings to aid in promoting a heightened sense of health consciousness in our local community. (continued on next page)


PCP employs a full-time staff available for you at our Athens location  to assist low-income patients in gaining access to the best medications and medical services. If you are having difficulty paying your bill, please contact our billing department for a referral to our PCP program.

Depending upon your financial and social condition, you may qualify for:
